Starting in Los Angeles, a film crew will travel to the 4 corners of
the continental United States asking the question, "What is love?" and
"Is marriage still relevant?" By stopping to film at National
Monuments & Parks, kitsch roadside attractions, famous landmarks, and
romantic destinations, we will gather not only the visual majesty of
the USA, but the diversity of its people, with our focus targeting
people in love.
The films director Cory Reeder had these thoughts when describing the
evolution of Love American Style, "Now that I am in my fourth long
term relationship and contemplating marriage, I often wonder if it is
right for me in today's world. The modern generation is filled with
so many shattered taboos and modified lifestyles, I often wonder: Is
marriage still relevant in today's American culture?"
By traveling across the country and interviewing a wide array of
people of varying backgrounds, economic status', religions, and
lifestyles including families, newlyweds and couples all on the move
during America's busiest tourist season we will try to find an answer
to the relevance of modern marriage. Real people, sharing their
experiences and views with a backdrop of pure Americana. Along with
our cast of "American Lovers" we will attempt to gain interviews with
famous couples giving star clout to the film, and also hearing what it
is like having to deal with unordinary circumstances in love &
celebrity.
When all is said and done, it should prove to be the all American
romantic movie as we try to discover what keeps love lasting and
fresh. Because after all who in love wouldn't mind talking about it
for a while?
"Let's face it, people in love can be and do goofy things. And
nothing will drop someone's guard more easily than talking about love;
our task is to create the opportunity for our cast to express
themselves, and an audience to laugh at their similar experiences. I
think this look at our culture will prove to be a spectacularly quirky
romantic comedy with the lavish background of America." - Cory Reeder
